Wow...rarely have I ever watched a movie and thought, I think I can actually smell this movie. Right from the start you are left under no illusions that this will as per the title have a lot of gross out images. I am not a fan of this type of movie but I don't hate them. Unfortunately this movie was a steaming pile of no.2.
There is the legend of a plumber, his name is Jack. Things are bad, people are dying of what judging by the opening scene can only be described as explosive diarrhea. A mysterious stranger gives Jack a lot of money if he can fix the problem. So off he goes, leaving his pregnant wife, to unclog the sewer system and save the town.
As you can imagine the sewer is full of, waste. They certainly got that bit of the film correct. Anyway, the cause of all this explosive diarrhea is that human bodies are clogging up the system. Oh no! At this point I thought the movie will start to get interesting, but it doesn't.
I won't spoil what little plot there is, but Jack sits around for most of the rest of the movie whilst he literally becomes a giant turd. At least that's what I think he is meant to look like? He looks a lot like the clicker zombies out of The Last of Us. I guess it's some really clever way of visually demonstrating his gradual descent into madness. Whatever it is, it was boring.
Do yourself a favour, avoid. Unless you really really want to see a man trapped in a sewer.
