There might be mild spoilers, although not sure there is anything to spoil.

If you go down to the woods tonight you will probably bump into maybe 100+ people just walking around, apart from that one guy in a wheel chair (I will get to that later)The woods are certainly scenic but would so many people really be in such close proximity in what appears to be a rather large forest? Who knows, who cares, I think this movie almost broke my brain.

Apparently this movie was one of the video nasties that were banned back in the 1980s. For that we all should be grateful. Let me be honest this is not a horror movie, it is barely a movie. Imagine the movie 'Wrong Turn" but instead of a human film director we substitute a flock of seagulls. Not the 80's band with fantastic hair styles but a real flock of seagulls, or maybe a squirrel, or a crack fox. Yes a crack fox. If you get the reference good.

If you haven't guessed the movie takes place within the woods. Initially I thought there was a crazy man killing people, then I thought maybe he was big foot, but then he was just a crazy man. Not just a regular crazy man, a crazy man who seemingly can teleport at will within his natural environment, the woods. He can sneak up on people within inches of them without them seeing him, because he is like the Predator, only covered in leaves and bat **** crazy.

Through out the film, from start to finish, he kills people in numerous different ways. The victims fall from heights, land within feet of other random people, but no one seems to notice them. The main characters , two couples I think, are in the woods also, doing a spot of camping. Of course they run into the crazy killer, and some of the movie is devoted to telling their survival story.

The acting is some of the most extreme over acting I have ever seen. The scenery is chewed up and spat out like wood pulp. The dialogue is often bizarre, for example one of our male leads upon finding the crazy mans Friday the 13th style home says something along the lines of, "I will take the food, even if it is his food". Oh my, how rude! The film is also dubbed so in some scenes people seemingly speak like ventriloquists and in one scene no one is seen speaking but there is a voice, is it a narrator? Who knows. Apparently the film was damaged so there was no footage of the actor.

The sound track, particularly the sound that is played when the crazy killer might be about, is so annoying. Sometimes its part of the sound track, other times it is seemingly  audibly heard within the movie!? Combined with camera views that are sometimes just camera views and other times seemingly through the eyes of the killet? Either that or he has a camera strapped to his head?

The movie also tricked me, the movie ended more or less, two of the four people manage to make it back to the safety of the local town, but the movie is literally no where near over. The Doctor even brings the red head female back into the woods instead of letting her recuperate in hospital. Nothing in this movie makes any sense. There is even a scene with a disabled person who is wheel chair bound but for some reason he has decided to go off road. Extreme!

There is one redeeming aspect to this movie, it is so outrageously awful that it is good. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry. You could make up a drinking game, every time the red head lady says "hmmmm" you take a drink, or every time there is a sleeping bag scene, or you hear that awful sound that follows the crazy man.

1/10 as a horror movie.

10/10 as pure ironic comedy cheese goodness.
