So Getafix was really a blood crazed fiend, and not the benign character from Asterix. Who would have thought it. Invasion of the Blood Farmers is apparently about Druids, and all their mischievous ways. Is this a good movie? Absolutely not in any way shape or form. Is this movie so bad it's good? Yes! Will this movie make you laugh? Not sure, but I thought it was hilarious.

The plot is truly bizarre and parts of it appear to make no sense. From what I can understand a Druid society is kidnapping people, these druids dress like a cross between farmers, makers of illegal moonshine and old fashioned executioners. They kidnap people in order to drain their blood, and to test them, as they need a special type of blood. They need this special blood in order to revive their Queen who like Sleeping Beauty is asleep in a large glass box. The leading male actor, and his future father in law, stumbe upon this blood, and in their laboratory find that the blood is increasing in volume. They set out to discover why so they can stop it. And that is the plot, as far as I am able to understand.

This movie is almost like a guide for filmmakers, they should watch this movie to find out how not to make a movie. The acting is so bad, jaw doppingly bad. The dialogue is stilted,  ridiculous and sometimes makes no sense. The camera work is  beyond bad, in some scenes actors are not in shot, or have their backs turned. The editing appears to have done by a hyperactive squirrel, I thought I was going to get whiplash it was that bad. The sound track was very strange. Sometimes a noise like a rattlesnake would happen but nothing much would happen, and blood draining apparently sounds like coffee as it is percolating.

In fairness the movie was made on a shoe string budget, which meant actors thay were not actors had to be used. Does it make the film any less bad? Nope. The movie does have one thing going for it, it is unintentionally hilarious. The framing of shots, the line delivery, the dialogue , the over acting, druids dressed as moon shine/farmers/executioners, all add up for a delightfully awful movie.

1 out of 10 (as a horror movie)

8 out of 10 (as unintentional comedy)
