**Potential Spoilers**

Slightly more likely than the global warming doom predictions is the belief that we might one day have to contend with a Sharknado. When the inevitable happens. and sharks rain down from the sky, we better hope that we have a Fin Shepard to save humanity. Yes, this is Sharknado, and not the first, this is Sharknado 2: The Second One, a made for television movie from 2014. I know these movies polarise opinion, but I sort of like them, and what is more I sort of liked this one too.

The plot, try not to laugh, involves more sharknado related mayhem. Fin Shepard and his ex wife April Wexler are on a plane on their way to New York when disaster strikes once more. Another sharknado. Sharks take out one of the engines, and the pilot and co pilot end up chum too. Luckily Fin lands the plane but not before one shark with a grudge bites off April's lower arm. Of course when he lands no one takes him seriously, despite having witnessed a sharknado once before. Meanwhile Fin's sister Ellen Brody (sounds familiar?) is visiting New York with her family. Fin must not only save New York he has to try and save his loved ones in the process. As you can imagine, a lot of sharks, a lot of carnage, and maybe just maybe a happy ending.

This is Sharknado, a bad movie by design. Some people would say that defeats the purpose, you cant intentionally make a bad movie that is funny, I would disagree. As you can imagine the cinematography is bad, the special effects are dreadful yet add to the humour. The acting is pure cheese, with over acting in every scene. The dialogue is corny, and humourous in equal measure. There is also some gore, in a ridicolous over the top manner, but this is Sharknado, what do you expect?

6 out of 10

Summary: not sure it is a horror movie, but it has gore, and sharks, and it makes me laugh. What more could you want from a movie?
